Huntington Congregational Church

United Church of Christ

This Week October 6, 2020

Dear Folks,

Hope you are all well.

This Thursday, October 8, is my prayer day.  If you have any joys or concerns you would like me to raise up, please let me know.

This Sunday, October 11, is the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost.  It will be the final outdoor service for 2020.  Please contact the church office at hcc@snet.net to reserve your space by Thursday.  Please use the Ripton Road entrance and check in at the table when you come in.  An offering basket will be available at the table.

Following the service, we will have a time fellowship, so bring your own goodies, if you choose.  Masks and social distancing are required.

In case of rain, we will move to the Sanctuary and the fellowship time will be canceled.

The scripture is Philippians 4:1-9.  The sermon is:  “Think About These Things.”

The service will be live streamed on Facebook.  It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.

If you have not returned your Faith Promise/Pledge card yet, please do so ASAP.  Thank to you all who have already!  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The HCCUCC Women’s Fellowship is sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit the Valley Food Bank on Saturday, October 17, 9 to 12.  Just drive in, drop off, and drive out!

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital.  Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone.  Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available.  Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  O God, may you remind us that when the days are cloudy, the sun still shines.  May you remind us, that when the world is chaotic, you are still God over all.  Amen.

In Christ’s love,
Rev. Lucille
