This coming Sunday, March 26, is the Fifth Sunday in Lent. The scripture is Luke 8:1-3. The sermon is “The Other Mary”.
From Women’s Fellowship – Thank you to everyone who helped make the Corned Beef Dinner such a success. Whether you set up, prepped food, cooked, served, cleaned up, bought a ticket, invited friends or made a donation, you were a part of raising $600 toward the church’s operating budget.
We are so pleased to have our lovely Syrian family in our Valley and are still in the process of getting them settled into their apartment in Derby. Thank you to all who make this possible! Continued support with your time, talents, and treasures is greatly appreciated!
SAVE THE DATE: 13th Annual Auction — Saturday, May 14th, 6:00 PM in Fellowship Hall!
Funds for Clean-up Buckets Needed – Women’s Fellowship is collecting monetary donations for Church World Service Clean up buckets. Checks may be made out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line. You can drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays or you can use the on-line option on our website. The need now is urgent.
The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – Items Needed: shelf stable milk and powdered milk, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit and applesauce, garbanzo and navy beans, canned tuna and chicken, oatmeal and other cereals, and pasta sauce. There is a box in the Alcove for donations. Also, our Blessing Box needs to be stocked, but during the winter, please do not put canned or jarred items, only things that won’t freeze. Please be generous!
