Huntington Congregational Church

United Church of Christ

This Week May 20, 2025

Dear Folks,

Enjoy this gorgeous day!

This Sunday, May 25 is the Sixth Sunday of Easter. We will be having an Outdoor Taize Worship. We will gather in the parking lot near the kitchen door. Please bring a chair and wear red, white, and blue. In case of rain, we will be in the Sanctuary. We will be observing Memorial Day, so please send me names of veterans who have gone on to eternity to share. The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.

Community Tag Sale: Women’s Fellowship will again be holding our annual tag sale on June 7 (rain date June 14). You are welcome to have your own space or donate items to the church table. You may drop off items for the church table in Reuman House. Please consider us as you do any spring clean-out!

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – There is a list of needed items in the Alcove. Please pick up a copy. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box is in need of constant restocking. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.

Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed. There are clean-ups happening still from flooding, tornados, and wildfires.  We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org.  Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
