This Week July 8, 2025
Dear Folks,
Continued prayers for the people of Texas who were devastated by the massive flooding. So many lives were lost. If you feel the need to help besides your prayers, here are some giving options: The United Church of Christ, designate “Severe Storms”, Church World Service Emergency Clean Up Buckets (offering bucket in the Alcove), and the American Red Cross. The first two options may be given through HCCUCC. Just make sure to designate your gifts either by check or on-line.
The Concert on the Green (Music under the Stars) will be tomorrow night at 7 p.m. on the Huntington Green. The Alpaca Gnomes will be performing. The Vitality Team will be handing out free water as a good will gesture to our community. If you would like to donate toward this outreach, please leave the water Fellowship Hall or Reuman House, marked with COG. The Men’s Group will also be selling their famous hot dogs. Really, these dogs are delicious! As always, feel free to help out or just stop by and say hi!
My prayer day is this Thursday, July 10. If you have a joy or a concern would like me to raise up, please let me know.
This Sunday, July 13, is the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture is Luke 10:25-37. The sermon is “Go and Do Likewise”. The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – There is a list of needed items in the Alcove. Please pick up a copy. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender. The Blessing Box is ALMOST EMPTY. When you go grocery shopping, please consider getting some non-perishable items to place in the box. The need is great and is only going to get greater.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
