Hope all is well with you and yours.

Please note our church’s website is down. Working on it!

Just a reminder that there is no Concert on the Green (Music under the Stars) this Wednesday. The concert will be on July 3 at Veteran’s Memorial Park in downtown Shelton, along with the fireworks. Concerts resume on the green on July 9. Our Vitality Team will be handing out free bottled water and our Men’s Group will be selling hot dogs. Donations of bottled water are greatly appreciated! Please put water in the Fellowship Hall and mark it with COG. Also, everyone is welcome to help in this outreach to our community.

This Sunday, July 6, is the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost. We will be having a patriotic hymn sing preceding the service. The scripture is Luke 10:1-11. The sermon is “Trust”. We will be celebrating Holy Communion, so be sure to have your elements ready. The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.

Women’s Fellowship is collecting items for Church World Service Kid’s Kits (formerly School kits), during June & July. The following are needed: boxes of 12 colored pencils, 2 pocket folders, glue sticks, round-tip scissors, 70 count spiral bound notebooks, 30 centimeter/12” rulers, hand-held pencil sharpeners, large erasers (not pencil cap), unsharpened pencils with erasers, boxes of 24 crayons. The donation box is in the Alcove. Questions? See Lois Ricker.

Backpack are needed for Women’s Fellowship’s Back-to-School drive for our Shelton schools. Other wish list items: plastic water bottles, 3 subject notebooks, plastic two pocket folders, pencils. The donation box is in the Alcove.

The Valley Refugee Resettlement Project met on Monday. We are still hopeful that we can settle another family safely in the Valley. Continue to watch for updates.

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – There is a list of needed items in the Alcove. Please pick up a copy. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3^rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender. The Blessing Box is EMPTY. When you go grocery shopping, please consider getting some non-perishable items to place in the box. The need is great and is only going to get greater.

Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed. There are clean-ups happening still from flooding, tornados, and wildfires We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available.
