This Week September 27, 2022
I hope you enjoy this beautiful Fall Day!
This Sunday, September 25, is the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost and World Communion Sunday. Please have your elements handy. Elements will be available on-site. The scripture is II Timothy 1:1-14. The sermon is “The Good Treasure”.
Thank you to everyone who has returned their “Faith Promise”/Pledge Card. If you have not done so, please do! Your generosity keeps our ministry going!
Neighbors in Need offering will be on October 2. NIN supports the UCC’s ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries to fund a wide array of local and national justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects. Working with members of the UCC Justice and Peace Action Network, Justice and Witness continues its strong policy advocacy work on issues such as the federal budget, voting rights, immigration, health care, hate crimes, civil liberties, and environmental justice. NIN also supports our American Indian neighbors in the UCC. One-third of the offering supports the UCC’s Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM). Please give generously. Envelopes will be available on Sunday. Donations may also be made through EFT via our church website, www.huntingtonucc.org.
