This Week April 11, 2023

Dear Folks,

I hope you all had a blessed Easter!

This Thursday, April 13, is my Prayer Day.  Please let me know if you have any joys or concerns you would like me to lift up to God.

Congratulations to Judy Tucker and Eva Washenko, who are being honored at this Saturday’s Tri-State Women’s Connection Spring Celebration!!

This Sunday, April 16, is the Second Sunday of Easter.  We will be celebrating Rylee Edelman’s baptism!  The scripture is John 20:19-31.  The sermon is “Marks”.

Please note the basket for your contributions to our 300th anniversary, which we will be celebrating in 2024, will be available in the sanctuary on Sunday.  We hope to raise funds for the festivities!  This offering will be taken the Third Sunday of the Month, though, the basket will be in the Alcove for any time!

We are so pleased to have our lovely Syrian family settled into their apartment in Derby! Thank you to all who make this possible! Continued support with your time, talents, and treasures is greatly appreciated!

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions may be sent to the church through mail or please consider donating on our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  O God, as the Easter alleluias start to fade, may the power of Christ’s resurrection never fade from our hearts.  May our lives be witnesses to this great love you showed us in Jesus.  Amen.

In Christ’s love,

Rev. Lucille
